Description
Beautiful WWI Imperial German Iron Cross, 2nd Class, in .800 silver (marked on ring). Originally a Prussian decoration, the Iron Cross was later reinstituted by Hitler. The award was conferred for bravery in action and other meritorious military acts.
VINTAGE:Circa WWI.
SIZE:Approximately 5-1/16" x 1-11/16"; Medallion: 1-13/16" x 1-11/16".
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Ribbon: watered silk. Medal: .800 Silver frame with steel center.
ATTACHMENT:Suspension ring, ribbon.
