Nice, early WWI German Iron Cross, 2nd Class, in .800 silver (marked on ring). Originally a Prussian decoration, the Iron Cross was later reinstituted by Hitler. The award was conferred for bravery in action and other meritorious military acts.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass/tombak frame with steel center.
ATTACHMENT:Suspension ring.
MARKINGS:.800 on suspension ring.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine - Very Fine): The Iron Cross shows moderate wear, soiling, and pin marks on ribbon, pendant shows moderate wear, much of the plating details remain intact.
