Description
This is a World War I Iron Cross (Eisernes Kreuz) 2nd Class made of .800 silver in a massive construction. The suspension ring bears an .800 silver mark. The front of the cross shows 1914 and a "W" for the Kaisers Wilhelm, topped by an imperial crown. The reverse of the cross reads "FW" (for Friedrich Wilhelm) 1813 and shows a crown and a bunch of oak leaves.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 4-3/8" in height and 1-11/16" in width (including ribbon).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:.800 silver with painted iron, silk ribbon.
ATTACHMENT:Suspension ring.
MARKINGS:.800 on ring.
