This is a World War I era YMCA pendant with the group's enameled red and blue triangle logo. The Association was started by a group of disillusioned young men in London in 1844 as a refuge from the social ills with which city life teemed. Nine years later the first American YMCA was set up at the old South Church in Boston, Massachusetts by a former sea captain.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Suspension loop.
