ARTIFACT: This is a Wonderful Old West 1870's - 1880's Denver Express Company Messenger Badge # 107 by Denver Maker.

Maker Mark is Partially Obliterated by a heavy strike of the last "S" in EXPRESS, but most likely Read originally: KAUFMAN MAKER DENVER

The badge shows pin looks to be a very old replacement during the period of wear, probably in the late 1800s, and likes to be made of piano wire which is steel.

VINTAGE: 1870s - 1880s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/16" in height x 2-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel with painted lettering, Steel Pin.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.
