This is a Wonderful 1890’s Constable Badge with Enameled US Shield by Schwerdtle Stamp Co.

The Schwerdtle Stamp Company is a manufacturer located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Founded in 1879.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1890.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-11/16" in height x 2-3/16" in width

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass with hard fired multi-enamel and a lead Soldered Nickel-plated brass findings.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with ‘C’ catch.
