This is a Wonderful Old West circa 1890's Deputy US Marshal Eagle Top Shield, with hand-stamped lettering that reads DEPUTY UNITED STATES MARSHAL.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1890's.

SIZE:

2-1/8" in height x 1-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated nickel with black painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical one-piece pin (actually TWO piece because of an ancient repair during the period of wear).

CONDITION:

8 (Excellent-): Shield shows very light wear other than slight fading of the lettering.
