This is a United States-made 1st type nuclear submarine jacket patch for the United States Navy's USS Nautilus SSN-57The patch is square and shows an angry whale-turned-submarine swimming through an atomic symbol.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:5" height and 5" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Canvas patch embroidered in multi-colored silk/cotton threads with muslin backing.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Navy patch collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDJV05 L/SACJX3/10
CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): Patch shows very little wear.
