This is a rare 1st type nuclear submarine jacket patch for the United States Navy's USS Nautilus SSN-57The patch is roughly square and shows an angry whale-turned-submarine swimming through an atomic symbol.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:4-3/4" height and 5" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Canvas patch embroidered in multi-colored silk/cotton threads with muslin backing.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Patch has a couple of small patches of discoloration, but overall coloring is great.
