This is an engraved powder horn from the Mexican Border War of 1916 that reads JUAREZ '16'. The Mexican Border War was a maneuver by the United States to put down the uprisings of Pancho Villa. The initials C.H.R. are also engraved in Olde English style on the horn above a star.
VINTAGE:Circa 1916.
SIZE:Approximately 14" in length and 3" in width (at base).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Horn with brass hardware.
ATTACHMENT:Two brass loops for attachment.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): Horn has some minor gouges and a crack at bottom but is in very fine shape.
