Description
This is a great circa 1900 Mexican Border Guard (Resguardo Fronterizo) badge from Ciudad Juarez. The main body of the badge is in nickel and is shield-shaped. The center medallion is in coin silver and shows the Mexican coat of arms. It seems that a spelling error was made on one side, but in the interest of not wasting materials, the badge was merely stamped on the reverse instead. The badge is in excellent condition.
