This is a cased United States Army Bronze Star medal from the Korean War.
The medal is engraved on reverse to Warrant Officer Junior Grade Opal B. Quails of California.
The Bronze Star medal is awarded for to military personnel exhibiting heroic or meritorious achievement within a combat zone.
VINTAGE:
Circa Korean War.
SIZE:Medal: approximately 3-1/8" in height (including ribbon bar) and 1-5/16" in width; case: approximately 1" in depth by 3-1/2" in width by 6-1/2" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bronze, silk, silk-wrapped cardboard, leather-wrapped cardboard, silk, velvet.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin (on medal and ribbon bar), hingeing case.
MARKINGS:OPAL B. QUAILS.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The medal is in very nice condition; case shows signs of small spots of light to medium abrasion.
