This is a unit plaque from the jeep of the commanding officer of the United States Army 793rd Field Artillery Battalion. The 793rd was a tractor-drain howitzer unit that served at Normandy, as well as in northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and at campaigns in central Europe.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 8-1/2" high and 10-1/2" wide.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted galvanized tin.
ATTACHMENT:Six holes.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine-Very Fine): plaque has several abrasions and spots where paint has come away.
