ARTIFACT:

This is a stunning textbook example of a World War I United States Air Service pilot wing by Homrighous Co. of Memphis, Tennessee. The wing is in sterling silver and has fantastic detailing.

Because of a flaw in the maker's mark stamp, these wings were known forever as HomriChous instead of the correct HomriGhous. 

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

11/16" height and 3-5/8" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver with gold-plated details.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with "C" catch; four links between wings and shield at center.

MARKINGS:

HOMRIGHOUS CO. MEMPHIS STERLING.

ITEM NOTES:

8 (Excellent-): Wing is in beautiful condition with slight abrasions and light tarnish.
