ARTIFACT:

This is an exquisite and near mint example of a beautiful World War I United States Air Service pilot wing by the Homrighous Company of Memphis, Tennessee. The wing has 14 karat gold details on sterling silver with engraving details so fine it was as if it were made by the United States Mint. It would be nearly impossible to upgrade this wing.

Because of a flaw in the maker's mark stamp, these wings were known forever as HomriChous instead of the correct HomriGhous.

VINTAGE: World War I.

SIZE: Approximately: 3/4" in height x 3-11/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS: HOMRIGHOUS CO. MEMPHIS STERLING.
