ARTIFACT: This is a stunning circa 1946 shoulder patch for the United States Army 1st Allied Airborne. The German-made patch is embroidered in bullion upon wool felt. The number "1" and the swords are in silver bullion and the wings are in gold.

VINTAGE: Circa 1946 (post-World War II).

SIZE: Approximately 3-5/8" in height and 2-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt and cotton embroidered in bullion and cotton/silk thread, muslin backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a post-World War II United States Army shoulder patch collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAJJX14 LDIEX5/14 SDJJX9/14

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The patch has only very little wear.
