Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a stunning circa 1946 shoulder patch for the United States Army 1st Allied Airborne. The German-made patch is embroidered in bullion upon wool felt. The number "1" and the swords are in silver bullion and the wings are in gold.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1946 (post-World War II).

SIZE:

Approximately 3-5/8" in height and 2-1/2" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt and cotton embroidered in bullion and cotton/silk thread, muslin backing.
