This is a bullion Italian-made shoulder patch for the United States 5th Army. The 5th Army saw combat largely in the Mediterranean during World War II and has since been renamed United States Army North. The patch shows the silhouette of a Byzantine-style domed building and reads A5 in bullion.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:2-5/8" height and 2-1/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Multi-piece red and blue felt patch embroidered in bullion threads and a cloth backing.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Patch shows light wear and tarnish on the bullion.
