This is an Italian-made bevo-weave shoulder patch for the United States 5th Army. The 5th Army saw combat largely in the Mediterranean during World War II and has since been renamed United States Army North. The patch shows the silhouette of a Byzantine-style domed building and reads A5.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:2-5/8" height and 2-1/2" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Red, white and blue bevo-weave silk/rayon patch.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): Patch is brilliantly colored and the reverse is almost as attractive as the front.
