This is an Italian-made bullion shoulder patch for the United States 5th Army. The 5th Army saw combat largely in the Mediterranean during World War II and has since been renamed United States Army North. The patch shows the silhouette of a Byzantine-style domed building and reads A5 in bullion.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:3-1/8" height and 2-3/4"width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Red and blue multi-piece felt patch embroidered in silk and bullion threads.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): Patch is brilliantly colored with very little wear and tarnish.
