Sterling WWII US Army Air Force USAAF Chained Son In Service Pin

This is a World War II United States Army Air Force son-in-service pin in sterling silver with enamel. The pin is the USAAF winged star joined by a chain to a rectangular pin with a single star at its center.

Circa World War II.

Pins are approximately 1/4" in height x 9/16" in length and 9/16" in height x 9/16" in width. Chain is approximately 1-7/8" in length.

Sterling silver with enamel.

Air Force pin: vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch, star pin: horizontal safety-style pin.
