ARTIFACT: This is a distinctive insignia in sterling silver for the United States Army 6th Engineer Combat Battalion. The DI is an oak leaf with two acorns framed by a glossy black oval and reads CLAIRS CHENES N'OUBLIEZ JAMAIS (the cleared oaks: never forget them).

VINTAGE: Circa World War II era.

SIZE: 1-3/16" height and 3/4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING.
