This is a sterling silver presentation medal from United Air Lines for the 25th anniversary of the first American coast-to-coast air mail flight from Long Island to San Francisco. The front of the medal shows a 1920s plane and its more "modern" version above, and the back reads TOKEN PRESENTED TO THOSE IN FLIGHT WITH UNITED AIR LINES ON THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST COAST-TO-COAST AIR ROUTE, SEPTEMBER 8, 1945

Circa 1945.

Approximately 1" in diameter.
