This is a beautiful commemorative plate for the US Battleship Maine or USS Maine which was sunk in Havana Harbor on 15 February 1898.
VINTAGE:Circa Spanish-American War (1898-1902).
SIZE:About 7-5/16 in diameter; base of plate is 4-3/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted glass.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a large collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay KEZAR VIX00 LEJX sLFJX1/15 TLEJX3/17 PSVEEX3/17
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Very minor wear, mostly to the painted illustration, possibly from washing. Or possibly the paint was not perfect when the plate was manufactured.
