This is a scarce sterling silver United States Army distinctive insignia for the 722nd Military Police Battalion. The DI reads LIBERTAS ET EQUALITAS and shows a cloaked figure holding a scale and a sword.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING and unknown maker's mark.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The insignia has some small areas of light to medium wear and tarnish but all of the enamel is intact.
