Description
Scarce WWI Service Medal from North Adams, Massachusetts in sterling silver by Robbins Co. Attleboro, MA. The planchet shows an eagle soaring above the Great Seal of the State of Massachusetts in nice raised detail and surrounding it reads: "WORLD WAR SERVICE". The reverse reads: "IN RECOGNITION OF SERVICE TO FROM THE CITIZENS OF NORTH ADAMS" and beneath a maker's mark reads: "ROBBINS CO. ATTLEBORO MASS. STERLING". The planchet is suspended from a partial red, white, and blue ribbon.

SIZE:Approximately Planchet: 1-1/4" in diameter; 3" in length with ribbon.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver, silk ribbon.
ATTACHMENT:Loop, spring ring clasp.
