This is a scarce World War I Service Medal from Rutland (the Town of, as well as Rutland County) in Vermont. It hangs from a red, white and blue ribbon and shows a seated Victory holding a sword and a laurel wreath. The badge is not engraved to a certain recipient on the reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 2-15/16" in height and 1-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bronze, silk.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin on bar with tongue-style catch, rectangular slot, ribbon.
MARKINGS:None.
