Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a scarce World War I Service Medal from Rutland (the Town of, as well as Rutland County) in Vermont. It hangs from a red, white and blue ribbon and shows a seated Victory holding a sword and a laurel wreath. The badge is not engraved to a certain recipient on the reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-15/16" in height and 1-5/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Bronze, silk.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin on bar with tongue-style catch, rectangular slot, ribbon.

MARKINGS:

None.
