This is a scarce World War II Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) operational wings badge given for the completion of one tour. The badge is in gilt sterling silver, and is a winged "O" with a bar hanging underneath.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 9/16" in height and 1-1/2"; in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Two screw posts, disc backings, chain links, back plate.
MARKINGS:STERLING on back of badge, under plate.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a Great Britain and Commonwealth militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDJX12 LAIEX12/12 SAGEX10/18
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has some very light wear only.
