ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War II Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) operational wings badge. This badge was given to a crew member for the completion of at least one tour, or awarded posthumously for at least one sortie against the enemy resulting in death. The badge is in sterling silver by Birks, and is a small winged "O".

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 3/8" in height and 1-1/2" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Double screw back with one original backing and one nut, back plate.

MARKINGS: BIRKS STERLING beneath plate.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII Royal Canadian Air Force insignia collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJL14 LBGEX3/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has some very light wear and minor tarnishing.
