This is a scarce World War II Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) operational wings badge by Birks given for the completion of two tours. The badge is a winged "O" with a bar hanging below.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:About 5/8" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Two screw posts with disc backings, backplate.
MARKINGS:BIRKS STERLING on reverse of badge.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a foreign militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VFEX07 LBBEX6/10
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows light wear and areas of tarnish.
