This is a scarce World War II Italian-made DI for the United States Army Air Forces 449th Bomber Group. The DI is in the shape of a crest and depicts a winged horse crossing the path of a falling bomb.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
MARKINGS:V. SARAC INC. (?) TARANTO.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The insignia shows some very small spots of light wear and has a handsome tarnish.
