This is a scarce circa 1960s United States Air Force 493rd Tactical Fighter Squadron jacket patch. The 493rd was stationed at the Royal Air Force Station of Lakenheath in England and flew F-100s. The patch is Japanese-made by Ace Novelty and the manufacturer's label is still intact.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 4-15/16" in height and 3-11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:Ace Novelty BOX 1374 TOKYO JAPAN.
