ARTIFACT: This is a scarce 1950's USSR Merchant Marine Officer hat badge made in bullion and brass. It has an anchor in the middle of a bullion laurel, with the USSR Hammer and Sickle insignia above it. The hammer and sickle is fastened to the badge by bending the pins over once through the wool, looking from the back as though it were stapled.

VINTAGE: Ca. 1950's

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/8" x 2-1/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bullion and brass on wool.

ATTACHMENT: None

MARKINGS: None

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USSR Militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX15 LAAEX02/17

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): This badge is in very fine condition. The patina on the metal parts is beautiful and the bullion is still very much in tact.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
