Description
Scarce mid ??? 1950's Maritime Central Airways (MCA) stewardess hat badge by Scully Ltd. of Montreal. The center shows the letters: "MCA" against a background of navy blue enamel with an artistic interpretation of the compass points running through the center. The outer surrounding gilt brass ring reads: "MARITIME CENTRAL AIRWAYS" in raised lettering. MCA was a Canadian airline formed in 1941, and it later merged with Eastern Provincial Airways in 1963.
VINTAGE:Circa mid - 1950's.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in diameter with 1-3/4" and 1-3/8" center embellishments.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel, plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with 'C' type catch.
