ARTIFACT: Scarce mid ??? 1950's Maritime Central Airways (MCA) stewardess hat badge by Scully Ltd. of Montreal. The center shows the letters: "MCA" against a background of navy blue enamel with an artistic interpretation of the compass points running through the center. The outer surrounding gilt brass ring reads: "MARITIME CENTRAL AIRWAYS" in raised lettering. MCA was a Canadian airline formed in 1941, and it later merged with Eastern Provincial Airways in 1963.

VINTAGE: Circa mid - 1950's.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in diameter with 1-3/4" and 1-3/8" center embellishments.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel, plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with 'C' type catch.

MARKINGS: "SCULLY LTD MONTREAL"

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The stewardess hat badge shows minor to moderate wear, much of the plated, gilt, and enameled details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
