This is a rare and real United States Army paratrooper badge by J. R. Gaunt of London in very nice condition. The badge came to us with some 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) insignia. The 504th participated in Operation Market Garden and was part of the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 13/16" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal Y-pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:J.R. GAUNT LONDON.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The insignia shows only some light wear and tarnish.
