This is a World War II United States Army officer hat badge made in England by J.R. Gaunt. The badge shows an eagle with shield, branch and arrows, thirteen stars and a banner reading E. PLURIBUS UNUM.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 2-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing, two stabilization posts.
MARKINGS:J.R. GAUNT LONDON.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows some small areas of light wear and tarnish.
