ARTIFACT:

This is a 1930s United States Army officer hat badge made in England by J.R. Gaunt. The badge shows an eagle with shield, branch and arrows, thirteen stars and a banner reading PLURIBUS UNUM.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

About 2-1/4" in height by 2-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing, two stabilization posts.

MARKINGS:

J.R. GAUNT NEW YORK MADE IN ENGLAND and TRADE MARK with dragon's head.

ITEM NOTES:
