ARTIFACT: This is a rare hand-painted submarine jacket patch for the United States Navy's USS Crevalle SS-291. The patch reads SS-291 USS CREVALLE and shows a vicious dog carrying a missile and riding a fish with a spiked collar.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 4-1/2" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Hand-painted canvas patch.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEJX08 LHEJX5/13

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch shows some moderate wear and slight discoloration.
