Description
ARTIFACT:
This is a rare World War II German made Bulgarian pilot, literally "Flyer of Transport Aircraft", badge. The beautiful design shows a golden eagle in flight and rays of the sun against a robin's-egg blue sky. The Bulgarian coat of arms is at the bottom of the badge's wreath, and a crown is at the top.
VINTAGE:
Circa WWII.
SIZE:
About 1-1/2" in width x 2-1/4" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Gilt and plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Threaded sleeve, screw backing, stabilization post.
