This is a World War II German-made Bulgarian Observer badge. The beautiful design shows a golden eagle preparing for flight and rays of the sun against a robin's-egg blue sky. The Bulgarian coat of arms is at the bottom of the badge's wreath, and a crown is at the top.
VINTAGE:Circa WWII.
SIZE:About 1-1/2" in width by 2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt and plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Screw back (backing is not present).
MARKINGS:None.
