Description
This is a beautiful and rare circa mid-1930s Romanian Air Force officer brocade belt. The belt is in red, blue and gold brocade with a yellow cloth backing. The round gilt brass buckle shows a wreathed eagle beneath a crown in relief: the wreath is modeled after the King Carol II back-to-back double "C" cypher. King Carol II ruled from 1930 until 1940, when he went into exile in Mexico, and later, Portugal.
VINTAGE:Circa mid-1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 42" in length (not including 2-1/8" diameter buckle) and 2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Woven brocade, cloth backing, gilt brass.
