ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful and rare circa mid-1930s Romanian Air Force officer brocade belt. The belt is in red, blue and gold brocade with a yellow cloth backing. The round gilt brass buckle shows a wreathed eagle beneath a crown in relief: the wreath is modeled after the King Carol II back-to-back double "C" cypher. King Carol II ruled from 1930 until 1940, when he went into exile in Mexico, and later, Portugal.

VINTAGE: Circa mid-1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 42" in length (not including 2-1/8" diameter buckle) and 2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Woven brocade, cloth backing, gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Buckle.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a foreign militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-DMM-25-12 L/SEGEX8/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The belt is in wonderful condition with only some very light wear and tarnish.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
