ARTIFACT: This is a rare and beautiful 1930s Romanian Air Force pilot badge un bullion. The badge is in the "King Carol" type and shows a small wing bearing the back-to-back double "C" cypher of King Carol II. He ruled Romania from 1930 until 1940, when he went into exile in Mexico, and later, Portugal. This badge came to us with a few other Romanian Air Force items: we are not sure if they all originated with the same owner (please see the links at the bottom of this page for more information).

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-13/16" in height and 2-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt embroidered in bullion and cotton/silk threads, treated backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Romanian Air Force collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. PAJJM13 LFIEX9/13 SFJJX3/17

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows very little wear and some moderate tarnish to the bullion.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
