Description
This is a gorgeous early 1940s Romanian Air Force pilot badge in bullion. The badge is an eagle an intricately embroidered national coat of arms upon its breast. This badge came to us with a few other Romanian Air Force items: we are not sure if they all originated with the same owner (please see the links at the bottom of this page for more information).
VINTAGE:Circa early 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/8" in height and 1-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in bullion and cotton/silk threads, treated cloth backing.
