Very Rare Mid-1930s Romanian Air Force Observer Badge in Original Case

This is a very rare Romanian Air force observer badge in its original case. The badge is a pair of spread wings with a crown at top and two back-to-back interlocking capital Cs at center, for King Carol.

Circa mid-1930s.

Badge: 1-7/8: height and 1-3/8: width; case is 7/8" high, 2-1/2" wide and 3-1/16" deep.

Badge: silver-plated bronze; case: silk-lined with velvet inset.

Clip on badge; hinged case with decorative brass clasp.

Badge: A. GRUENBERG BUCURESTI STR. CAZARMEI 15; case: bottom of case has original foil label (VARGA A CRARI DRAGUL JAR NOVISAD).
