This is a rare late 1940s shoulder patch for the United States Atomic Energy Commission Protective Force. The United States Atomic Energy Commission existed from 1946 to 197The patch is in wool felt embroidered in light blue thread, and has been cut off of the shirt onto which it was initially sewn.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 5" in height and 4-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, cotton backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
