Description
This is a beautiful circa late 1940s shoulder patch for the United States Army Forces Europe, a successor to SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force). The blue patch is German-made and shows a flaming sword beneath a rainbow. The sword handle and border are embroidered in bullion.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 3-9/16" in height and 2-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in bullion and cotton/silk threads, cloth backing.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows very little wear and only some minor tarnish to the bullion.
