ARTIFACT:

This is a rare late 1940s shoulder patch for the United States Atomic Energy Commission Security Patrol. The United States Atomic Energy Commission existed from 1946 to 197The patch is a semi-circle in wool felt embroidered in gold thread.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 4-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, mesh backing.
