This is a rare circa 1947 United States Atomic Energy Commission (USAEC) First Issue Security Patrol Trooper Hat Badge. This large badge is numbered 164 and has an incised Atomic Energy symbol at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-13/16" in height x 2-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickeled brass, enameled lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The badge shows very little wear with one minor spot of oxidation on reverse.
