Description
This is a very rare 1960s security badge by Blackinton and patch for the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel in New Castle, New Hampshire, made famous by being the spot where the Russian and Japanese signers of the Portsmouth Peace Treaty lodged in 190The patch reads WENTWORTH BY THE SEA and shows a picture of the hotel. The badge reads WENTWORTH BY THE SEA SECURITY and shows the State of New Hampshire seal at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Patch: 4" diameter; badge: 2-5/8" height and 2" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Patch: canvas embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads with muslin backing; badge: chrome-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical drop-in locking swivel catch on badge.
