ARTIFACT: This is a 1969 stein from Wentworth by the Sea, a resort hotel in New Castle, New Hampshire, famous for being the spot where the Russian and Japanese signers of the Portsmouth Peace Treaty lodged in 1905. The stein sports an insignia showing a sea creature wrapped around a capital W and reads MEMBER - GUEST 1969. The lid of the stein is topped with a spire and opens with pressure upon the shell-like ornamentation on the handle.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1969.

SIZE: Approximately 11-3/8" in height and 5-3/16" in diameter (at base); handle sticks out from stein 2-3/4".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver-plated metal.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: TEBCO 150 CAUSEWAY BOSTON MASS tag on bottom.
