ARTIFACT: Rare circa 1960 New Hampshire state agency badge: Chief of Security at New Hampshire Hospital. The center of the badge features a nicely detailed New Hampshire State Seal in enamel and surrounding it reads: "CHIEF SECURITY NEW HAMPSHIRE HOSPITAL". An eagle, wings spread and head bowed sits perched at the top of the badge and the bottom shows the number "9" in blue enamel detail. The clip-back badge appears to have originally been a pin-back and converted by the manufacturer Blackinton.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960

SIZE: Approximately 3" x 1-3/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel

ATTACHMENT: Clip-back

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine—Very Fine): The badge shows moderate to heavy wear, much of the gilt and enamel details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
